エネルギーシステム、航空宇宙システム向けの先進セラミックス材料を開発。(*技術開発は香山機構長の下でOASISが進めており、その推進補助を行っており、主にセラミックス繊維、複合材料製造プロセスを担当)

耐摩耗、耐食、耐熱に優れた炭化ケイ素を初めて、セラミックス単体・セラミックス繊維・セラミックス複合材料の製造プロセス・評価① 高結晶性SiC長繊維の焼成② 化学気相浸透・蒸着による薄膜形成③ 緻密・高結晶性SiC繊維強化SiCマトリックス(SiC/SiC)複合材料の製造プロセス④ 繊維強化セラミックス複合材料の強度特性評価⑤ 繊維強化セラミックス複合材料の耐環境特性等
